Take the filter back.
IF you can't find it, you probably don't have one.
And, you don't necessarily NEED one.
As NM51 says, you're only going to be able to do bypass filtration anyway, and you won't get very much of your oil filtered.
Just make sure you use 30 weight oil with NO detergent and you should be golden.
