Houston54 it matters to me because I posted this question in another forum, a friend of mine got replacement panels for a VW and the new panels were far inferior to the old. As in you could rap your knuckles on it and it would dent slightly.
Its a truck, its going to be used as a truck and and on the chance that it happens, I dont want to step on the rocker panel and dent or bow it in after spending the time and money to fix it.
On the phone they told me it was no were near the original thickness cause they were so cheaply made.
Thats why it matters to me. It might not be that big a difference to some but to me it is. Hope that helps to see where Im coming from.
