For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 15 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 15 | I just brought home a 1967 c10 shortbox stepside pickup this weekend. It is the base model as it was a work truck for a plumbing company all of its life. I got it started and drove it off and on the trailer. I noticed that I was losing a lot of water and had a milkshake in my oil pan. The block is either cracked or head gasket is blown. As I just hauled this truck out of Montana my guess is cracked block. How do I know what 6cylinder motor I have? The VIN # if that would be any help is CS14J104637. I am going to pull the head and hope that it is just a gasket but I am thinking the worse as the oil is a mess. Also who would be the best to order a goodwrench motor from? | | |
