Yes, while I may drive my car aggressively once in a while, I don't drive my truck that way. I harly even use the brakes on my truck. Keep in mind too that hauling a load is much harder on the brakes. I only hit brake fade when I am trying too, I am only suggesting it here as a way to get the feel of your braking capability and determine your margin of safety. The original poster suggests that he is trying to keep up with dallas/la/boston/ny style traffic which can be stop and go where you go 70 for a while and have to slow down to 10 and then speed back up to 70 which is tough on brakes and drivetrain.
