| | | | Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 17 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jan 2006 Posts: 17 | I've got an old 40 Chev pickup that I’m working on with my daughter. We removed the windshield and surprise, the bottom of the frame has some rot.
Question: What other year trucks have the same windshield as a 40?
I'm a fairly good journeyman welder and was thinking of finding a second windshield in a similar state of rust and grafting in some of the donor frame's upper frame into my frames lower section to replaced the rotted out portion. I think the shape of the top is slightly different then the bottom, but I think I could still make it work.
Any thoughts?
