-66's had 230's as well as 250's [and 292's I think]
-66 VIN should start w/ C-1446 for 1/2 and 3/4T's
-64 didn't have the letter, and the 5th digit is the year
considering that there were definite ID numbering conventions for any given year, I doubt the decoder has it wrong, tho it's always possible - it's also possible that some govt desk jockey made a clerical error - is this the very first title the truck ever had, or maybe the 6th? grin

-66 fender side emblem is in the same location as the 64 but it's different emblem - 66 emblem is in different position [lower] than 65, but similar style to the 65
66 was the first year for the all sychro 3 speed
