My truck, '61 1/2 ton 235, has cold weather trouble. The heater will not get hot, today it was 8 degrees farenheit, and I am starting to think that maybe I should change my thermostat to allow my engine to run hotter, my dad seems to remember doing this in the old days? I know the old cardboard in front of the radiator trick, but would changing the thermostat have the same effect? I am wondering which one of these is the better solution. If it is the thermostat what temperature one should I use? ANy feedback would be greatly appreciated.
