just thought it would be quicker, and I am sure you could use it, and read it better then I... I heard that you could remove a cable and check alt that way, was not sure about the gen,, probably not a good method with all the computer stuff on the new stuff,,,,no way did I mean to insult your mechanical or electrical skills........regards....Fred
