One more weekend burned on Dad's Skyliner instead of my trucks. That's OK, though. My Dad, husband, sister, and I took off the entire front end from the radiator to the cowl. Pulled the 352 and Cruise-O-Matic.
I've never worked on a car before. Never knew how different they were before from our old trucks. First difference - MY front clip fits under the trucks. Not so with the car. Both of us girls had to convince Dad to jack up the front end, but neither one wanted to say why

This is our first frame-off project, so we're taking a lot of time with every project. I found out what BAD body work was this weekend (I thought mine was bad - I was wrong). We found the lower inner cowls were nothing more than (drum roll . . .) wadded up tin foil, wrapped with athletic tape, and smoothed over with body filler
. What a mess! Oh well, we're making progress at last.
