On the way to my new home in my 51, my speedometer stuck on 35mph. This is the first time this has happened. I removed the speedo cable and it returned to 0. I reinstalled the cable and the needle does not move but the odometer still works.
Yesterday I removed the speedo, took it all apart, reassembled it, tightened all the screws, and the same thing happens. The needle does not move but the odometer still works. If I turn the linkage by hand the needle will move and return to the 0 position.
If I had a broken cable, nothing would work? Or is this not true????
