| | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 314 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: May 2005 Posts: 314 | After having put the alternator from the donor van in the '48 last weekend, I found that it wasn't charging... then the stovebolt page went down and I couldn't ask for help... I searched around the web and found out that the "Dummy" light wire isn't just for "Dummies". It also supplies the power to excite the alternator into action. I installed a dummy light and got the alternator working.
I also started fabrication on the new dump body. The original is beyond salvage. The new one is being modeled after the original, with some minor dimensional changes. When it is done it will look nearly identical to the original. | | |
