Went looking for radial tires for my 49 and found Bridgestone 215/85/16 selling for $180 each plus mounting, valves and balancing and of course 15% sales tax! All Canadian dollars. That will equate to around $1000 by the time I am back on the road. I think for a truck that runs about 2000 miles per year it is a bit pricey. The tires are also 10 ply and I am wondering how stiff a ride that would give me especially when I carry very little or nothing in the box. Anyone have any ideas on less expensive rubber and something with fewer plys.
