Do a ride-along with a wrecker crew or an ambulance for a few days before you decide seat belts aren't worth the effort. I ran a 24-hour wrecker service for about 3 years. I can only recall one incident where a driver was killed while wearing a seat belt, and that car left the road at over 120 MPH, and flipped/rolled several times.
