I tend to agree with Fumblin46. The best way to approach it is to drive defensively, seatbelt or not. I wear them in the newer vehicles, and I see the value in wearing them, but I don't like them. As for the '51, I bought a set of them a year ago, and never have found a good, truly safe way to install them. Oh, well. The Harley doesn't have a seat belt either...
