I have a 1951 Chevy Suburban that I recently picked. It has the original suspension that I would like to lower without using a dropped axle. Anyone have any suggestions, if I can lower it about 2&1/2" I'll be able to get it in my garage. I will be changing tires on it soon and that will drop me about 1/2" or so. I plan on driving it as is until I finish the other frame with all new and modern stuff. The reason I dont want to go with a dropped axle is I just bought a Mustang II setup for the other frame and I dont want to buy anything twice for this project.
