51KY brings up a very valid point.. often times a quick and dirty "earl shibe" style paintjob is intended to be little more than "putting lipstick on a pig".
Intrested buyers may be thinking "why did they paint it just before selling? What are they hiding? Fiberglass parts? Bondo?
