Got to sort the door glass in my 63 GMC fleetside; driver's door's got no felt left, glass just dropped off the runner and gone down into the door, fortunately not broken. The spot welds on the channel had snapped but should be able to stick them back with "plastic metal". The passenger side window's not been used for so long, the glass is stuck shut! So while I'm doing one I might as well fix the other, too much rain over here in the UK to leave the window open permanently!
Question; in the Chevy Duty parts book, two types are specified, one with metal frame and one without. What is the difference please and which is better to use as replacement?
