check with Ron Francis Wire Works,or Painless Wiring about the speedo;they might have a retro solution. As far as the 5 speed,I'd go for it. It can't be any worse than whats in it now,and it'll get you set up with a 5 speed. Then,if you find a better geared tranny later,it'll be a lot easier to install.I assume shipwright is referring to the overdrive 5th being too low.That might be true with stock gearing,but if you're planning on a rear end swap,you can easily compensate for it there.
