Your serial number belongs to a 3100 1/2 ton truck made in Oakland, CA in October of 1952.

If the title you have says 1950, that's strange indeed.

Next thing i'd be checking is to see if the VIN number on the title matches either your Serial number, or the number stamped on the engine just to the bottom left of the distributor.

Some areas used the Serial number for the title number, other areas used the number stamped on the engine.

It could be that somewhere in the past a guy had a '50 truck with a good motor and title, and had a good body with a shot motor and no title, and just did the ole "switch-a-roo".

The Serial number confirms the cab is a '52, and the fact you have "push button" door handles and vent windows in the doors jives with the fellow that said earlier that those features were found starting in 1952.
