There is alot of stuff out there in your neighborhood just waiting to be got! I'm serious about that weekend road-trip up there.
I'm betting you and I can get into all kinds of trouble.
My FIL is here this week. He reports he saw a 41-46 half-ton over in Minatare. Thinks he saw it advertised for around $500. If that's the case, I may be up there sooner than later.
There was a '42 advertised in the paper for $500 awhile back.. I posted the contact info in the spotting area here.. I think Patrick called on it and was going to come get it, but when the guy said he didn't have a title, he decided against it.
I called the people a few days later and they said they sold it.. then about a week or two later I saw it in Minatare.. there's a guy over there who gathers up old trucks from all over, and he musta bought it.. since it was the same truck sitting out front.
I stopped to B.S. with the guy.. he had a '46 1.5 ton sitting there that looked like he dragged it out of a pasture with no tires on the front.. I asked him about the grill, and he said he was going to use that grill for the '42 1/2 ton.. so i'm guessing he was going to either fix it up and drive it, or fix it up and haul it to a show and try and sell it.
Before I left he asked, "You wouldn't happen to have any '41 thru '46 titles, would ya?"
Not sure if thats the same '41 thru '46 1/2 ton your FIL is talking about or not.. haven't been back down that way in several weeks to see if he ended up sticking a FOR SALE sign in it or not.
