I also found it hard to study, when told to. However, when I got to university it was my life and I was in charge. I spent my entire time at the books and really enjoyed the achieving. Now through a career in Engineering ,I have always enjoyed learning. As you would guess, the technology in this world does not stand still.
There are better days ahead, believe me.
