I've read several of the posts on this subject and heard lots of advice. Here's my problem. I remove the hood spring supports from hood (not cab) and lay them on linner fender out of the way, adjust hood to fit at cowl and fenders, reattach those supports and now the cowl fit has large uneven (from dirvers side to passenger side) gap too high and too far forward. Is this corrected by new support springs or by enlarging the hinge plate mounting surface holes?
