Uh, actually I think '49 was the year it moved inside. '47 -'48 had it under the bed on the passenger's side. My '49 3100 deluxe cab's is behind the seat, where it's always been. I've gotta agree with red58 on the whole tank placement thing. If you're smelling gas, fix the leak! At $2.00 (+) per gallon how much of it do you want to waste anyway!!!!!!
