My lockpins would not come out, after yesrs of rusting in place. What I had to do was drill as much of the center out as possible, without affecting the hole. I am not much of a machinist so for me, this was quite scary! Anyhow, after that, I drove the kingpins out and they just pushed their way past the thin shell that was once the lockpin. Afterwards I took a punch to knock them out but they just fell out. One looked like a paper tube, it was so thin.
