Once the lock bolt is removed, the fun really begins! Sometimes the spindle is incredibly tight coming out of the axle hole. I've had to soak the kingpin/axle in penetrating oil, or even heat things and use a BIG hammer to get the kingpin to move. Back when we did a lot of straight-axle repair, there were hydraulic jack accessories to press kingpins out, but it would be difficult to find a shop that's still equipped to do that type of work. Be patient, and use a lot of good penetrant along with a reasonable amount of hammer and punch work.
