If you want to keep the original rearend you might want to find a original type 4 speed trans that will bolt to the torque tube,to put that 235 in your 37 you will need to use the original bellhousing and if you use the 235 flywheel you will have to use the newer starter. If the 235 is a 55 to 62 you will have to get a shortened water pump and even with it there is no room to run a fan as its still too close to the radiator and the water pump is farther down on the block and you will have to use a electric fan. If I had to do it over again I would use a 54 motor as it uses the same water pump as the 216s,I have a 57 235 in my 37 hooked to the original trans a rearend for now but hope to hook up a S10 5 speed and a S10 4X4 rearend in the future.
