The instructions say to use the blue spring to make it a high pressure pump or leave it alone for the standard oil pressure. Someone told me that a high pressure pump will drain all the oil out of the pan if you are not using an aftermarket extra capacity oil pan. When I mentioned this to my engine builder friend he laughed and said he has always used the high pressure spring with stock oil pans and never had a problem. What do you Stovebolters think is this fact or fiction? What are the pros/cons about using the high pressure spring in a stock volume oil pump? Just trying to decide cuz once the oiil pan in on theres no going back. Thanks | | |
