Mike, here is an option...
If you have a compressor (if you don't, get one, it's the most important tool in the garage)
Buy a cheap spray gun from your local hardware store (cost $35). Buy a quart of Rustolium in the color of your choice (cost about $7). Mix to thin with paint thinner (cost $5). Not lacquer thinner. About 25% reduction. Tape off and spray away… this is about the cheapest best looking paint job I have found. I have done this on my metal tool boxes and it came out really nice.
