The engine rebuilder did in fact guarantee the motor for a period of one year after it left his hands. So TonyM, in the new truck buying scenario you asked about, yes it started the moment that the engine left his rebuild shop the guarantee clock started ticking. Plus he is still standing by his guarantee and trying to help.
