Fred, I had a 54 235 with shims, had the machine work done, my first and to this day only assembly, drove it to Ca. from Wa. 24 hours. after a 500 mile break in. I did the assembly. It was my first and It was just me and winky and the shop manual. It's alive and well today. Reluctantly I sold it in 89. So if I can build a engine that can drive to Ca. none stop after the 500 mile break with being all new magoo and full of brew,Stick it on the net or up thier bbbt if they don't make it right.
