Alternative fuels--yes!
If you don't understand why the retail (pump) price of a product changes to meet the increased price of the raw material (crude oil, in the case of gasoline and diesel) read Economics 101.
The economic law is called "Replacement Cost" and it applies to all retailers. It is linked up with unit costs, marginal costs and the cost of the next unit of product available--in addition to supply and demand.
Other economic rules:
Drive less and pay less for fuel.
Use less fuel (drive efficiently by letting the other guy beat you to the next red light).
Sell or push the Hummer!
