Frank I have a 62 1/2 ton Chevy Truck with a 235 six that I installed solid lifters in after the others kept leaking down. Ran the engine over 100k miles with no problem. I think the secret is to keep the lifters adjusted correctly. Sometimes the hydros just don't want to work right-especially in cold weather-leaked down and missed like crazy! Maybe someone has other suggestions?
