It is a bit of a bear getting the vent window assembly in! I seem to recall it not being possible by fitting the main window into the vent window post/felt channel right off the bat.
It's like you have to get it in as far as possible and then get the main window into the channel ... fight a bit ... pray ... coax it, etc., etc. and it finally gets into place.
Not easy ... but possible.
