I got a replacement control (used one from RJ Truck Parts in Colorado....I was real happy with the deal. Good folks.) I've cleaned and lubed it and I was fixin to install it. I pulled the old one outta the dash and found a buncha cables attached to it:

I dunno if this is the proper connection or if it was done this way when the temp lever broke (well before I got it.)
If it's the correct connection, what is the purpose of the cable going to the center (fan switch) lever?
