I got in the truck from the passenger side and lay on the floor. I reached up and undid the old motor from that position. I also removed the speaker grille plate which made it easier to eyeball things before I got onto the floor. Of course if you have a floor shifter then it is more difficult. I did bang my head a few times on the pedals and I think my neighbors kids learned a few new words. Some people actually remove the whole seat assembly and put a plywood board across what is left. Cushions maybe!
