Another fix for vapour lock is to install a vapour seperator fuel filter. These were installed on the last of the AMC carbureted model. The filters have one inlet port and two outlet ports, one obviously goes to the carb, the other port returns the fuel to tank. This requires installing a return line to the fuel tank.
The concept is, there always fuel movement.
