I like to put a Facet fuel pump as close to the fuel tank as possible. This has always been a good fix for me. They put out about 4.5 PSI. My main problem was fuel expanding and flooding the carburetor when I let a hot engine sit. The Facet pump allows fuel to flow back into the tank. And when you turn the key on, it pressurizes the fuel like at about 4.5 PSI.
