Here is a couple of pictures from Deves tec net site of the 6 volt heater motor .So when I had mine apart I never pulled it completely apart just enough to put a a tip with some grease at the end bearings and the wire inside looked good except for were it came out of the motor housing so I used the shrink tube . I think it would be into the can of worm area to pull it apart were the brushes come off of the armature and have to mess with the brushes and springs .
