I like your homemade hoist rigging. That is slick. Whenever I make something like that, I always call it a "3-way adjustable mortising jig" even though it rarely is adjustable in 3 ways and it never involves morticing. I lifted it from an episode of This Old House featuring Norm Abrums. When I use that term publicly, it usually flies over most people's head, but I am not doing it for them. I tend to do things just for entertaining myself. If someone else is entertained by it, well, good for them I guess.
