The paint and bodywork could have been done better.. by me in this driveway with bomb cans!! That said, the EV conversion portion seems more solid, though I would have used the older two speed transmission for more low speed torque. I'm guessing aftermarket Mustang II IFS? That's been done plenty on this fora, as has more than one IRS conversion.
Not gonna hate on a guy for doing a hot rod conversion with what's at hand in the era when it's done. And like it or not, there are now lots of wrecked Teslas and other EVs from which to harvest a drivetrain that can get you to sixty in under five seconds.
Fun fact: before being taken over by the actual Roman salute throwing, eugenics enthusiast fascie, Tesla was kind of a pretty great company. Their drivetrain hardware and software were open source-you could download the files and literally build the whole drivetrain for yourself if you wanted. To this day, its control software is still Linux based. Eberhard and Turpenning did the world a solid, and the original union built in USA Teslas were actually pretty good cars.
I'm not good/bad debating EVs here, just sharing a bit of the history behind the hop up parts underneath this rig.
