As soon as it arrives I’ll try again. This time I’ll get everything started thread wise before the block is bolted to the frame. That has to be the biggest lesson learned from this. That’s a tight fit boxed into the corner of the frame rail like that.
It’s giving me more time to practice my double flare as well. I found that lubricating before the flaring process with a little brake fluid made a huge difference in the quality of flare. I also file and deburr. I bought a kit from Harbor Freight and it works fine.
