| | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,188 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 5,188 | I painted my bumpers 25 years ago due to cost of plating and how bad my were rusted. The front has a few chips now, but not all that bad. It still looks good from few feet out. Go to your local window tint shop and ask about paint protection film. They can cover the bumper so well you will not be able to tell. The self repair clear cover will heal itself if a rock hits it. Lots of high end cars are covered front to back. Its not cheap, I was quoted $200 for one 1937 front bumper. Being cheap, I declined and decided the chips didn't bother me quite so bad anymore. Amazon sells it if you want to try it yourself. | | |
