| | | | Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 6,684 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2021 Posts: 6,684 | Solve the problem. Don't try to cover it up with the wrong battery. You'll eventually damage your gauges and burn out your generator.
My truck is 6v and spins over as fast as any modern vehicle with a 12v system.
Make sure all your battery cables are 00 gauge. Make sure all your connections are perfectly clean and tight with no frayed wire or crappy connections.
Make sure your generator and voltage regulator are in perfect working order (7.2v-7.5v while charging).
Make sure that the battery is at full charge at rest (6.2-6.4v). If your battery only registers 6.0v at rest, it's discharged and probably has a bad cell.
Make sure all ground connections are perfect, clean, and tight.
Make sure your starter is in top order as well.
