Apply Dynomat to the entire tank. That will take up any slack in the straps AND it will significantly dampen the sound of a partial tank of fuel sloshing around.
That what I did on my ‘54.
Man! Your truck must be super quiet! With the wind noise, valve clatter, fan whine, rattling door windows, and assorted other sounds that Ol' Roy makes, I never knew you could hear fuel sloshing around! Is that really a thing? Hahaha!
