It says to remove the upper channel and then the support guide after rolling the window closed. You might be able to just remove the screws holding the channel guide at the bottom and pull the channel away from the door edge and latch and get the assembly out with the window up. You will likely need to remove the lower hinge access panel also to get the channel support back in place after you're done with the latch replacement.
