Out of curiosity, I took to grinding the peened over or swaged area that holds the two halves of the remote together. It came apart nicely. I think I can drill and tap a hole for 10-32 so that it can be reassembled on your parts. I would locktite it for final assembly. I am kind of busy today so give me a day or so. If successful, I can ship you this small piece which will easily fit in a small priority box and cost you much less than what Ebay folks are asking. I will send you a private message, as well.
