In Texas, YOM plates are issued a sticker that is good for 5 years at a much reduced rate. The sticker is designed to be placed on the YOM plate, but there is no flat surface to attach it to on my '52 plate. So I trimmed a piece of 1/32" brass plate I found at True Value Hardware to match the sticker on the top and both sides. I left the bottom long, drilled a hole in it and attached it using one of the screws that holds the license plate on. Been there for 13+ years.
