If you have the oil pan off, use a long, thin piece of round stock or a long tapered punch, maybe 1/4" or 5/16" and tap on the bottom of the lifter after heating the block around the lifter and using plenty of penetrating oil. You should be able to reach around beside the cam lobe with the probe and drive the lifter out from the bottom.
