A few years ago, I had mounted a Chevy TBI system on the 250 in my '57 truck. Easy to mount the throttle body with an adapter on an aftermarket intake. The main problem was with the distributor: either find a computer-controlled HEI distributor for a 250 (not common), or use a stock distributor with an aftermarket part to trick the computer into believing there is a distributor connected, or modify the original distributor to work with the computer. That is the way I went, the engine ran so smooth, it was unbelievable!!! An amazing set-up, with a 4-speed TH700R4 trans, the smoothest set-up I ever drove!
My next idea then was to use 2 throttle bodies on an aftermarket dual-carb intake, to solve the gas distribution issue on that long engine. I never got to it, we bought a camping trailer and needed to swap to a V8... Could have been great...
