Did you ever post a picture of the truck it's going into?
Here is my 53 3100. I bought it in SoCal in 1980 when I got out of the Navy. I was a carpenter doing track housing and later custom homes. This was my only vehicle for 9 years. I drove it from SoCal to northern Indiana where I live now 2.5 times full of tools and pulling 2 desert racing dirt bikes for summer vacation and at least 2 hours a day for work loaded with tools. I drove it to the shop when I started my project. I'm building a Drag and Drive truck for the crowded 8.50 second class in the quarter mile. I want to beat the big blocks in my old truck with a straight 6, roots blower with carbs and a manual transmission. The truck will be Firethorn Red Pearl with Jet Black fenders.
